Hi AZBOX,

Would someone add to the list of issues for the next firmware release the reboot after blind scan?

When preforming a quick blind scan the AZBOX will reboot when it hits 100% complete, once it boots back up it will be on the one remaining channel you had from a previous delete.. none of the found channels will be there.. a entire new scan will need to be done.

This problem can be reproduced by doing multiple scans on various satellites.. I feed hunt so I do several scans a day, I would say if I do 10 blind scans it will reboot 4 times.. or about 40% of the time... it is very annoying.

I re-flashed the firmware etc.. tried a few things like that.. no dice... I find if i reboot before a scan I wont have the issue.. so maybe its a memory problem..

Please confirm which satellite(s) you are blind scanning which makes your receiver reboot.  Over here in our development environment, we do at least 5 blind scans per day mostly on Galaxy 17 Ku band and are not having any issues with the receiver rebooting itself.  The only issue we are aware of that sometimes causes reboots is having the Time synchronization mode set to DVB instead of NTP.  As long as you have this set to NTP and the receiver has Internet access, this issue should not be occurring.

Hi There,

Thanks for the reply.

I scan 4 satellites several times a day, mainly G17ku.. but I also scan AMC-16ku, AMC1ku, and G19ku. I have a 4 port DiseCq switch combining the four lnbs.

I find that the reboot problem does not pick favorites and happens across the satellites.

My time is set to network and the epg info is turned off.

It happens every day, without fail.

I also find that if I hit the yellow button, choose the current satellite (G17ku for example) then hit menu when the channel list is up > delete all channels on selected satellite - sometimes this will cause a reboot as well.

I would be willing to help resolve the issue if you need any diagnostics etc..

Strange.  We will setup a similar system over here and try to replicate the issue.
When you are selecting the command to delete all channels on the current satellite, are you first selecting a currently active channel?

Not yet but the video certainly does help us as it shows that the receiver appears to be rebooting due to an issue with one of the channels it found so thank you for taking the time to record it.  When this issue occurs, do you know if all of the channels which were found during the blindscan got saved and you are able to view them after the unit reboots?

Unfortunately a new scan must take place. All the channels are lost except the channel I started with... in this case abc news 1

I added a motor tonight, no more switch and no more rebooting.. seems to be related to the use of a switch, and I used more than one switch so its not just a defective switch.

I found this same issue last night. I would delete all but one channel, do a blind scan, go to the channels downloaded and next it would reboot and no channels. After doing a new blind scan then all the channel appear.

As seen now by other members the problem is not with my unit, its def a bug.. I find on G17 and SES-2 I have to scan twice about 90% of the time.. its really getting annoying! Please fix this AZBOX!
